As a healthcare provider, we are obliged to keep a patient record. The purpose of keeping a patient record is mainly to contribute to good and safe care for you who are in contact with us as a customer/patient. The patient record contains information about your identity, as well as information related to your care, such as taken or planned treatment measures, etc. Our processing of your personal data in connection with the record keeping is necessary to fulfill legal obligations that inhere in us as a healthcare provider according to the Patient Data Protection Act, and to perform a task of public interest (providing health care).

Appointment booking and administration

As a patient with us, you have the opportunity to book/cancel an appointment digitally or by telephone. When you are in contact with us as a customer/patient, we process your personal data for the purpose of administering and confirming your booking/cancellation, sending out a notice and administering your payment. The processing of personal data is necessary to be able to fulfill the agreement(s) we have with you, to fulfill legal obligations that incumbent on us as a healthcare provider according to the Dental Care Act and to perform a task of public interest (providing health and medical care). As a patient with us, you have the opportunity to communicate via email, telephone and SMS for information purposes. Our legal basis for this processing is balancing of interests.

In dentistry, there is strict confidentiality for information about patients’ health conditions and other sensitive information. The personal data in our patient record system is stored in accordance with the provisions of the Patient Data Act, a medical record document is stored for at least ten years after the last data was entered in the document. In cases where your personal data is part of our accounting information, it is stored for at least seven years according to the Accounting Act.
