The rest, 90 percent, is covered by the state. The aim is for more people to be able to maintain good dental health even later in life, without cost becoming an obstacle.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" style=\"--fontsize: 35; line-height: 1.31;\" data-fontsize=\"35\" data-lineheight=\"45.85px\">What dental care is included?<\/h2>\n<p>The reform is intended to cover the treatments that are necessary for you to be able to eat, live and speak without pain. This includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Measures to treat diseases of the teeth and gums.<\/li>\n<li>Treatments that relieve pain or injuries.<\/li>\n<li>Rehabilitative and reparative interventions needed for the mouth to function.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" style=\"--fontsize: 35; line-height: 1.31;\" data-fontsize=\"35\" data-lineheight=\"45.85px\">Limitation to tooth position five<\/h2>\n<p>For fixed prosthetic treatments such as crowns and bridges, the support only applies up to tooth position five. This means that the large chewing teeth at the back, i.e. tooth positions 6,7 and wisdom tooth 8, are not covered by the Ten-Dental Care. This applies to both the upper and lower jaw as well as the left and right sides. You can calculate which teeth are covered yourself by:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Stand in front of the mirror and look straight ahead.<\/li>\n<li>Count from the middle. The middle tooth is number 1.<\/li>\n<li>When you get to tooth number 5, the limit is reached.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You will have to pay for teeth behind this position yourself, but they are still covered by the current high-cost coverage.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" style=\"--fontsize: 35; line-height: 1.31;\" data-fontsize=\"35\" data-lineheight=\"45.85px\">What is not included?<\/h2>\n<p>Not all dental care is covered. You pay as usual for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Examinations, X-rays and check-ups<\/li>\n<li>Some preventive treatments<\/li>\n<li>Aesthetic dentistry<\/li>\n<li>Fixed prosthetic treatments that are done further back in the mouth than tooth position five (for example, certain crowns, bridges and dental implants).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" style=\"--fontsize: 35; line-height: 1.31;\" data-fontsize=\"35\" data-lineheight=\"45.85px\">Financial support you can combine with<\/h2>\n<p>In addition to Tiotandv\u00e5rd, there are also grants that can reduce the cost:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>General dental care allowance (ATB): SEK 600 per year. Can be saved for two years.<\/li>\n<li>Special dental care allowance (STB): SEK 1,000 per six months, a total of SEK 2,000 per year. Can be saved for one year. Aimed at those who have certain diseases or diagnoses that affect teeth and oral health.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" style=\"--fontsize: 35; line-height: 1.31;\" data-fontsize=\"35\" data-lineheight=\"45.85px\">Why is the Tenth Dental Care program being introduced?<\/h2>\n<p>Many older people today forgo dental care because the costs can be high. This can lead to problems growing and poorer overall health.
